Accessibility is key

Every morning when we wake up, we are blessed with our eyesight being returned to us. Many of us take that for granted. We don't realize how blessed we are to be able to see. Unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with vision therefore, we must care for them in a different way. How can we help those visually impaired, you may ask?

When we create or design something, we must keep those who are disabled in mind. We must remember that not everyone interacts with the world the way we deemed "normal". We must design for everyone!

For example, when creating a website, we should make sure it is accessible to everyone so that we can be inclusive. How can we do that? By allowing those who are visually impaired to make texts larger, turn on subtitles or captions for videos, use screen readers, and more..

Not only will keeping disabled people in mind make your website more easily accessible to those with disabilities, but to the general public as well!

Accessibility is key!

And remember, never take your vision for granted!

Hey I thought you had a great blog post. I really enjoyed reading it and definitely feel that we were blessed to have our eyesight. There's just so much to see in the world! I absolutely agree with you, it's a great idea to make things more accessible to those who are visually impaired. It would be great to have every website incorporate some way for them to hear what is written on the page in case they are unable to see it or describe the image that's being shown.

Great Post! Accessibility is absolutely crucial. My father is visually impaired so it has been quite a bumpy road for him, but I have hope in the future of visual design for large company's and corporations when it comes to accessibility. Good luck on the rest of the semester!
